Ohana is a hidden roles/trading card game for up to four players inspired by matryoshka dolls with a Hawaiian themed art style. It was my first attempt at making a board game/card game ever. The aim of the game is to assemble your family first.
At the start of the game, players are secretly given two cards which they must keep to themselves, a family colour card and a specific win condition card. Then the players are randomly dealt out 5 family member cards and action cards each, and the rest are put in the middle to form the draw and discard deck. On their turns they can do a number of actions involving these decks and trading with one another.
Parlé is a pirate themed worker placement board game for up to four players. The game takes place over 10 rounds and the aim of the game is to expand your fleet and become the most renown pirate across the Seven Seas.
Players start off with 2 ships that they can use to acquire resources, means of making gold, completing quests and getting ship blueprints. Building ships give the player victory points and extra ships to use in the game. At the end of the game all resources are converted and added on to your ship victory points. Whoever has the most victory points wins.
Instead of using a board we decided to make the game modular and put all locations on cards so that the players can lay out the game whichever way suits them.
